Seller Name: Fr. Paul KinseyThis partially glazed Bisque Porcelain statue of Mary, dates back to the late 19th century, c.1880. It is about 9 inches high and typical of the French style, with delicate colouring and lovely features. She is in remarkable condition considering her age, save a (factory) firing crack to the base, which does not detract from the beauty of the piece. This would make an interesting addition to any collection of Antique religious Statues and it is unusual because the figure of Christ is depicted with a sacred heart, also with the serpent shown at our Lady's feet, normally seen in statues of Our Lady Immaculate, without the Christ child.
