Seller Name: Fr. Paul KinseyAn extremely rare opportunity to own a mid 18th English Delft Plate, made by the Bristol factory, c. 1760 which makes it rarer - because the factory only produced these wares for a short time. The plate is hand-painted in an under-glazed blue 'organic' pattern and has the characteristic 'tin glaze', generally found on continental Delftware. Dr. William Honey, once the celebrated Keeper of the Ceramic Collection at the Victoria and Albert Museum identified the pattern and it is included in his book, English Porcelain and Pottery.
