Description

An antique, late Victorian, coloured postcard features the celebrated romantic couple, the Ladies of Llangollen. The stamp on the card is franked with the date 05, indicating the year 1905. The ladies eloped from Ireland and established a home in North Wales, near the town of Llangollen. They spent all their time together, never spending a single night apart. They are buried in the churchyard of St. Collen in the town.
